Physical Description

Small for his age, Bastian, was forced to join the Queen's Army as soon as he turned thirteen years old. He has brown hair and wide, dark eyes that almost always look either full of sorrow or terror. He is barely able to hold his own sword as he is thin with little muscle. His skin is tanned from working out in the sun on most days, though he is skill fair-skinned.

Clothing & Adornments

In general, Bast is seen wearing old, raggy clothing that seems to be slightly too big for him. However, when practicing, he wears a metal breastplate and carries a small, round shield in his left hand. While he doesn't have a pair of shoes of his own, the military has provided him with a pair of old, worn leather boots.

Physicalities

Bast is actually left-handed, but because that is a mark of the devil, he has learned to hide that from the world. He is timid, walking with small, careful steps that make him seem meek and unsure of himself at the best of times.

Backstory

Born to a farmer and his wife, Bastian was never destined for greatness. Due to the war on the Queen's lands, all male children of the age of thirteen or older were required to join the Queen's Army. Bast's father tried to hide his only son, protect him from a terrible fate, but when the army found out, they killed the boys parents for breaking the law.

Emotional Arc

Weak and timid, Bast begins as a frightened little boy. As the game progresses, Bast grows into his role as a soldier, becoming stronger and more confident in himself and his abilities.

Bast would be the player character.

Environment

Bast lives in the Queendom of Anlasdia. It is a world in which the genders are equal, but there is a war going on between the Queendom and the invading Joseths. 

Job/Work

Bastian is a footsoldier in the Queen's Army and often runs errands for the better soldiers.

Speech Patterns/Dialect/Accent

Bastian speaks with a slight, nervous stutter. There is the sound of respect in his voice when he speaks to anyone as they are all generally stationed above him.
